Factory pre-cut round and ob-round holes allows for installation
of the mechanicals in the joist space which allows for the
cleaner/higher ceiling detail demanded in today’s architectural
designs. Pre-cut slots allows for perpendicular thread-thru
2x10s for cantilevers and architectural detail supports.

Structural Products Corp. custom engineers
floor systems using engineered lumber manufactured by Louisiana
Pacific and Georgia Pacific, using wood I-joists (LP's LPI™
series and GP's WI™ series), laminated veneer lumber
(LVL- both), Solid Start™ (LP) and Fiberstrong™
(GP) to give our customers a floor that is stronger and
quieter than traditional lumber and other floor system choices.

floor systems are better than traditional floors.

Why
use Structural Products Corporation?
- With
over 100 years of combined experience in design and engineering,
our engineering department has proven to be very effective
in creating value and efficiency in your floor systems,
which results in extremely few "variance purchase
orders.”
-
Floor systems can be cut to exact length to reduce installation
time and prevent "miscuts" by the framer.
- Using
SPC's patented hole punch machine, we are able to locate
"obround" sized (33% larger than the competition)
mechanical punchouts where requested to allow for both
plumbing and HVAC in the same hole.
- Being
the largest stocking I-joist dealer in the southeast,
SPC can handle any capacity and will never be short of
material.
- With
Princeton's Piggy
Back truck-mounted forklift system SPC can safely
locate your material exactly where you need it.
- SPC
takes pictures of each delivery on site to prove all material
to be provided with plan is delivered and accounted for.
- After
the floor system has been installed, our trained inspectors
perform a detailed inspection using software written specifically
for Tablet PC’s for use by SPC Inspectors. This
allows for an easy to file electronic copy of your floor
system inspection.
Why
use I-Joist?
-
Traditional lumber, with its knots and other natural “characteristics,”
is only as strong as the tree it comes from. As it dries,
it’s prone to twisting, splitting, checking, crowning
and warping — wasting materials and increasing costs.
- Stronger
and more economical than conventional “open-web”
floor trusses.
- Can be easily modified in the field unlike
“open web” floor trusses.
-
No metal to wood connections in I-joist reduces possibility
of floor squeaks.
-
I-Joists provide a uniform product with consistent dimensions
and density, enhanced durability, reduced shrinkage and
a limited
lifetime warranty.
- I-Joists are provided in a range of depths
and series to meet most residential design applications.
- Lightweight
and easy to install.
- Compliant
with major building codes.
- Make
more efficient use of wood than timber beams.
