Value Engineering

Structural Products Value Engineering is a service we have been providing to all of our customers at no cost to them for more than 2 decades. Typical savings range from hundreds to thousands of dollars per house built with a Structural Products Value Engineering design. These savings add up quickly for national and regional builders which use a single plan repeatedly.

The Process

The Structural Products Value-Engineering team takes your plan and identifies ways to reduce construction costs and improve quality in your floor system. After receiving your plans, they are modeled in our CAD software where our Engineers begin analyzing the design; reviewing every detail of the floor system for better ways to build the home with fewer materials and less labor while improving quality.

What you get

A few dealers cut I-joists to exact length before delivery. SPC also precuts the rim joists, blocking and LVL, makes all plumbing and HVAC cutouts and provides a full set of drawings with detailed notes and dimensionts.

Precise floor layouts consisting of an accurate material list, details, custom marks for each section, and “Red End” markings on each joist make the floor system easy for framers to install; one framer stated, "it's like putting together an airplane kit". These detailed instructions reduce framing errors caused in the field resulting in costly extra material drops.

We Inspect Every Job

Once the floor system has been installed we inspect every job to solve problems before they become problems; whereas other vendors will do an inspection after the fact if a problem comes up. Our inspectors have caught many errors caused in the field which could have costs the builder hundreds of thousands in litigation later on.

What does it cost me?

Nothing, all of this is included with every floor system we supply, so you have nothing to lose. Ready for a free quote? Call us at 770-447-5550 or fill out a free quote form.
